The be more specific, the problem I’m having is that I configure clients and get everything working OK, but after a restart, if the machine gets a new IP address, it shows up on the farm as a new, unconfigured client with the same name as the old, already configured one — Muster isn’t recognizing that it is the same client with a different IP address. This means I have to re-discover clients and reconfigure the clients list and individual clients constantly.

I’m still having a persistent problem that if I restart a host, it’s configuration information is lost and I have to re-configure it. Not sure how to solve this. I don’t understand where the configuration data is getting stored, so I can’t figure out how to solve the problem. I’m guessing it’s a permissions issue in windows, but need to know what directories /files need to be granted what access.

I but really need to straighten this out. We’re upgrading from 6 to 20 servers, and I can’t be manually reconfiguring each one every time it reboots.

    Hi,

I’m having trouble with single frame renders as well: I get the folowing error when Dispatcher tries to assemble the slice renders:

Cannot load slice file R:xxxguide_visimages|Muster_sf_46_1.296.iff: Error opening source file!

I have tried everything I can think of to have the Dispatcher machine impersonate a user with access to the directory on our domain, (I put the user rights in the Muster Dispatcher service and reestarted it, and I put the permissions in the Impersonate panel in Dispatcher) Nothing’s working.

The slice files have rendered fine, but dispatcher seems unable to load the first slice in the sequence — I suspect permissions problems, but Disptacher doesn’t provide any explicit error message I can use to troubleshoot.
