Configuring hosts by name, not IP address (machines get dynamic IP assignments)

We have a domain administration setup that precludes me setting fixed IP addresses on all of our render clients, which include artist workstations, as well as dedicated render farm machines. How can I configure Muster to find and remember clients by name only, even if their IP addresses change from session to session?

The be more specific, the problem I’m having is that I configure clients and get everything working OK, but after a restart, if the machine gets a new IP address, it shows up on the farm as a new, unconfigured client with the same name as the old, already configured one — Muster isn’t recognizing that it is the same client with a different IP address. This means I have to re-discover clients and reconfigure the clients list and individual clients constantly.

We are going to change this in the future to isolate clients using the Mac address instead of the Ip address. Until now, there’s no solution.
