21st December 2007 at 1:45 am #14764unfortunately u can’t “network render” an avi file. However u can assign avi generation to a single node instead.
if u r using apple, i think Apple QMaster can utilize multiple render node while outputing a single video file. It’s a true “Distributed Rendering” solution
6th December 2007 at 5:35 am #14760I’d like to see how this problem will be solved.
we r using absolute path here, because we have the problem before.
i think this substitution function is for cross platform rendering only.
(according to the manual)if ur mb file use p: and ur client has p: mapped, I think it’s ok to render. u needn’t do the substitution path setup. But make sure the account u used to start client service has p: mapped.
3rd September 2007 at 5:22 pm #14733maybe this is not the problem of muster, maya 8.5 sp1 claims that they have fixed the problem of infinite loop rendering if you have render layers. It rerender the layers again and again
I’ve encountered this phenomena several times and after i upgrade maya to sp1, the problem solved…
26th August 2007 at 10:54 am #14732I landed a new job at ubisoft shanghai studio. and here we tried every possible way to make it look “running”,but we failed, maybe there r some strict group policy applied to our workstations, i have to write a vbscript to restart muster service on every render client using remote WMI (i have the admin password of every workstation, and the same account exist on every machine)
30th January 2007 at 4:07 am #14617That’s normal,I’ve never got this console to remotely install render client service,And the developer never explains why this happens…
anyway i’ll try the 1st workgroup method at home…
Do I have to use user Administrator and have to use a password?
Can I just have 2 users say named “oglop” on two workgroup computers, and oglop belongs to administrators group? on xp sp2 system.
