    Hi Tim,

    No, I’ve no clue about that. Maybe the file is chmod by Mentalray itself at the end of the Render. You can schedule a post action at the job completation that invokes the sh and cast chmod on the entire file folder…just an idea….

    Have you mapped T statically in the client preferences ? XP and 7 have a different way to share user’s address spaces, so what you may have configured badly in XP (and it works) may not work in 7

    You need to force the packet size to 1. Maybe submitting your jobs through mrtool is the best choice.

    You have the complete list inside the reference manual of Muster as well as the database structures.
    the job_project is a value that maps the ROOT of the project, if available. It’s used by engine that supports relative paths by specifying the project root and by Muster to open the containing folders.

    MAXIMUM_LICENSES is instace based, as long as you use multi-instance mode, you should fallback to a pool to manage unlicensed hosts

    Exclusion lists are used internal by Muster to prevent invalid jobs. If you need to exclude a particular cpu for a particular job, you need to use pools, while if you want to exclude a templateId, you can do that configuring the client preferences.

    There may be an expection on your policies that prevents our detection routine to find the logged user. IF you get in touch with us directly at vvsupport@vvertex.com , we may send you a simple .exe to run and collect some statistics so we can watch what happens and what to change in 6.0.3 to address your issue,

    I confirm a bug in the time rules evaluation in 6.0.0-6.0.2 , to fix it , modify the rc.conf manually and add a # before the ? , this must be done for each rule. If your case :

    time_rules = 0#0# 1/ 1/2010/ 7/ 0# 4/ 1/2010/20/59?0#0# 5/ 1/2010/ 7/ 0# 5/ 1/2010/17/ 5?

    becames

    time_rules = 0#0# 1/ 1/2010/ 7/ 0# 4/ 1/2010/20/59?0#0# 5/ 1/2010/ 7/ 0# 5/ 1/2010/17/ 5#?

    Regarding the logon issue, we are not aware of any bug. Could you explain us on what kind of environment are you working ? workgroup/domain ? Also are you logged locally or remotely on the workstation ?

    Time rules will be fixed in 6.0.3

    On the renderclients, you can just uninstall and install over the newer version, you’ll be prompted for the IP addresses and other configuration details during the new setup phase.
    On the dispatcher, it’s always good to backup the databases and config files (muster.db / muster_history.db / dispatcher.conf) . The database files are left untouched during the installation, but.. who knows ? :D

    As far as I know yes, Muster uses the “Render” batch render, and it should supports proxies.

    6.0.1 bug, we released 6.0.2 to adress this and a minor issue with the logs.
