File permissions on rendered files

I am having problems with the file permissions that my renders have when rendering on linux machines served by Muster.

    The issue is this:
When I render my scene using the maya software engine the resulting frames are ‘-rw-r–r–‘ this makes them read only when seen by a windows workstation.
Strangly if I render the exact same scene with the maya mentalRay engine I get permissions of ‘-rw-rw-rw-‘ which is exactly what I want.

Does anyone know what the difference could be between these 2 engines, and how I can force the permissions that the renders are given?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Tim,

No, I’ve no clue about that. Maybe the file is chmod by Mentalray itself at the end of the Render. You can schedule a post action at the job completation that invokes the sh and cast chmod on the entire file folder…just an idea….

    Thanks Leonardo,
    I’ll do that I think.
