Warning: Errors have occurred while reading this scene that may result in data loss.

Seems an issue with the scene itself, try with another file or reload this inside Maya and resave the scene.

You don’t have a valid Mental ray for Maya license installed on this node, as Maya reports at the end of the log.

Never seen this. Seems a corrupted scene. Try to reopen the scene using Maya 2009 and resave it in Maya binary and watch the results.

Muster runs with a dedicated user account. Depending on the Muster version, this may have been created automatically or by you at the end of the installation.
The Maya.env file loaded is the one configured for that particular user account, so if it doesn’t match with your user, log with that account and configure the environment as you did for your regular account.

Alternatively, each template has a section to define environemntal variables. By configuring this section, you can avoid the Maya.env file. Check the Mental ray standalone template, you can find some environmental variables declared there.

Check that the “-workPath” flag is passed to the command line. This will force Max to store the temporary files in a different location that the scene location. The issue comes from an XML file generated by Max on each startup. Multiple hosts try to generate the same file in the same location.
We are going nuts with Autodesk on this topic. They claim to have fixed this weird behavior on Max2010, but we still are experiencing issues in multi-instance mode.

Do you have limited client access ? This machine, sfo303ds03 is it a server based OS or a client like Windows XP ? Remember that you’ve about 5 concurrent accesses enabled on a standard client share.

Check the dispatcher.log file inside the dispatcher_logs folder on your server. It contains the history of the logs.

    -ojs 2 , available starting 5.5.4

Also, the log is automatically cleaned , depending on the settings in the Dispatche preferences. Most of the info are still available in the persistent dispatcher.log file in the Dispatcher installation folder/dispatcher_logs.

Configure the client. In the templates section, locate the Maya-mr template, and then select the “All available” option in the cpu usage combo box. This will force Muster to send an -rt 0 flag to the render.

Unfortunately the user discovery issue is Installshield-related and there’s little we can do about that. As I suggested before, skip the user creation/discovery, use the local system account, and then assign the user manually in the services control panel applet.

Render seems good, what’s your problem exactly ?
