it seems you just need to configure the path for the template. When you create a new template, it gets propagated to the render client at the first reconnection of the client. Once it is propagated, just right-click on the client, and configure it. Locate the template tabs, and re-check the paths to the executable
You can just use mrtool to dump the job list using the complete status filter, and pipe it into a text file, it can be easily reformatted using the mrtool flags, just look at the documentation.
Be sure to reinstall 3d Studio Max even with the Backburner stuff, the entire network rendering packaging is required by the batch render even you do not use backburner itself
there’s already such kind of function, you just need to enable it into the Dispatcher in the faults logic configuration. look for the “add job to the exclusion list” option.
You may need to setup substitution paths on the Dispatcher to allow the correct exchange of the directory prefixes when submitting from the mac. your mac path will likely start with /Volumes while the windows one with \myserver or something similar. Take a look at the substution path section of the manual!
Check you’re not running any firewall between the service and the database. Also check that you do not have any kind of user based authentication, remember that Muster runs under a dedicated user account.
Where did you mapped the drives ? It’s possible that you just have the AUTOMAP feature turned on, that means Muster automatically maps Y because Y is where your bat file to launch resides, but it doesn’t know anything about Z because it’s just referenced inside the bat file.
Are you mapping the drives using the static drive mappings preferences of the client ?
the % symbol is used to escape just the %ATTR and %ISATTR macros, so the behaviour you’re describing should not happen .what version of Muster are you using ? Also send me (on my personal mail) the template you’re using so I can give it a try..
