    Hi all,
I am currently trying to test out vray with muster. It seems vray is fairly well intergrated with maya command line rendering so I pretty much created an altered mental ray template, changing for vray where necessary.
My problem is that I cant get the new vray template to show up in the explorer. The new template has a new UID, and has been copied into the template folder on the local machine and on the server. I have done a soft restart of the server and restarted the local machine. I’m pretty sure I’m overlooking something simple, so if anyone has any ideas to help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Tim Forbes.

OK, I’ve got that part of it working, but now the issue I’m having is that there are a few maya batch flags that seem to be incompatible with vray. Namely the -rfs, -rfb, and -pad flags. I have removed these from the template file so my command line in the tamplate is

    SET COMMAND_LINE “-r vray -proj “%ATTR(job_project)” -s %ATTR(start_frame) -e %ATTR(end_frame) “

    nice and simple.

But when I go to set up a render from muster an error is thrown, and when I check the log file it displays that muster has called:

    -r vray -proj “X:1_3dproj_currentS&L_NumberPlate” -s 1.000 -e 4.000 -b 1.000 -rfs 1 -rfb 1 -pad 4

So does muster automatically add the -rfs, -rfb, and -pad flags or is there somewhere else that these flags are added?

    Cheers,
    Tim.

We have a vray template ready that will be posted with the next service release. Please contact me on benacler@vvertex and I’ll send it.
