currently it is possible to set up multiple users in muster and restrict the engines / pools that a user can access.
I would like to know if it is possible to limit the pools and engines lists in the muster explorer submission panel so that they only show the “allowed ” pools and engines for a given user ?
for example if i have a user called shake who can only use the shake engine on the shake pool. I would like the submission panel dialogues to show shake as pool and shake as engine. currently the shake user can select other engines/pools in the submission window even though they are unable to submit them as a valid job.
I’m aware that i can set the default pool and engine from the preferences jobs panel but this is a global setting. if i could set this for each user this would potentially solve my problem.
With the “test” user I created on my Muster server, I did not find a way to limit what the user can “see”- in the explorer submission panel or via the web interface.
I can definitely see how limiting not only what a user has access to but what they can see would be useful. I’d post this as a feature request for the next update.
Would it be possible to change the “limit to a specific pool” behaviour for muster users so that you could define more than one pool.
We have a number of shared pools and i’d like aritsts to be able to use some a but not others .
Unfortunatly limiting them to just one pool is too limiting. Prehaps you could select poolsin a similar way to the system for selecting allowed job templates?
Actually the Dispatcher doesn’t tell to the explorers the users filters, so there’s no way to limit the engines/pools..I’ll put this in the wish list.
