I am running some very unstable jobs through muster at the moment and finding that some are exiting without completing successfully. However I am still getting an exit code 0 and no unique stings that I can match to record an error. This is probably due to poor managment of my processes but I cant seem to avoid it.
What I would like to have in a muster template is a “ERROR IF MISSING” attribute.
It would parse the log file and report an error if it did NOT find the string. That way I could print a unique success string at the end of my job and check for that. Obviously it would be good to have the same for warnings.
On a similar note I was wondering if there is a way to have muster terminate a process when it encounters its first “error” match. I know it is parsing the log in realtime as it can match progress strings. This would avoid a long process running that will be requed as soon as it completes.
Any thoughts?
