Even users are running Muster on Vista, we are aware of some problems using the network drives. We are working on it, full certified Vista support is scheduled to be available in version 5.2.

We’ll release version 5.12 before that version, so it may take still some time.

Version 5.2 includes embedded manifests and privileges settings required by Windows Vista. We also provide a registry hack to allow the start of the MSI installer using the “Run as Administrator” function.

If you cannot map drives, check the privileges of the user assigned to the services.

Also try to start the renderclient as a console application first and watch the results.

    Update to this topic:

Current installers may have problems in including the Dispatcher service in the firewall rules. If that happens on your host, install the Dispatcher service as a console application, then include it in the firewall exception.

Open a dos prompt, navigate to the installation folder and type:

    dispatcher -install

Then configure the user account from the service control panel applet.
