I’ve tried to set time rules for a pool that has a set of nodes to render. I think I have it set properly:
Rule Type: Day Range
Starting Day: Monday
Ending Day: Monday
Starting Hour: 12 AM
Ending hour: 7 AM
Rule Action: Enabled
Yet, when I submit a job, either to the Entire Farm, or to this specific pool the results are the same; the job starts immediately on the available nodes. As I thought I would understand, the time rules on the pool would prevent the job from starting until the starting time, and end on the ending time. Did I get this wrong? Is there something else I need to do?
Anyone know a better way to set up times to start? I thought about assigning availabliity on each node, but that’s a lot of work and would rather be able to select a pool to start at a specific time.
Render nodes and pools are available by default, so if you set the rule as “Enabled” that means the nodes will be enabled. You should declare a specific time lapse where the nodes/pool will be “disabled” too.
