Renders hanging at beginning

I’m evaluating muster 7 by using the trial version on two windows 7 x64 machines. One is the dispatcher and a render node, and second is purely a render node.

When I submit a render, the render.exe and mayabatch.exe processes start and the log file gets written but it hangs at the very start and never gets past the “Starting C:Program Files….” line.

I originally had the same issue on my first machine, but seemingly overnight it started working fine and is rendering ok now. I can run the batch render lines that muster is using in the command line and the render completes successfully. I’m not sure what the problem is, there is nothing else in the log files to help diagnose the problem. The last line of the renderclient log seems normal:

    02/26/2012 16:01:28 – [1] Starting job executable S:AutodeskMaya2012binRender.exe with commands: -r mr -v 4 -rt 0 -proj “\FROSTYMegaStoretest_project” -s 1.000 -e 1.000 -b 1.000 -rfs 1 -rfb 1 -pad 1 “\FROSTYMegaStoretest_projectscenestest_scene.mb”

That’s all I have to go on.

Never mind, I figured it out. I forgot to add the login information to the renderclient service. carry on. :D

Incoming silly question: but how exactly did you add the login information to the renderclient?

Directly or any remote or connect to node and:
Services – Muster Render Client Service – Settings – login/pass
