    Hi,

I’m having a strange probleme here, (muster 6.2.0)
I’m building a new template from a allready existing template that works well.
I made a few modification to the new one, and I got this message every time :
“Chunk 1 belonging to job 001_0001_R_012(3295) processed by host node63 reported the following error: Invalid executable “

so I tried to undo my modification, now bow templates, the new and the old have the exact same content, but still, the new one gives the error.
I checked in the local template variable of the instances, but it’s the exact same for both template.

    Hope you can help

    Best regards

    Hi,

it seems you just need to configure the path for the template. When you create a new template, it gets propagated to the render client at the first reconnection of the client. Once it is propagated, just right-click on the client, and configure it. Locate the template tabs, and re-check the paths to the executable

    Hi,

I’m not sure about what you are calling a client. You’re talking about an instance ?
Then, what do you mean by “the first reconnection” ? Do I nead to restart the dispatcher ? And as I mentionned, the client configuration of all instance are the same, I checked multiple times and it point to the same executable.

One strange thing is that I don’t have any log,
here is the activity log of an instance when it try to render with the new template :

    08/23/2012 15:28:41 – [1] Real job process running with PID 3256

The job with trigger the error is the 3601. It’s not even in the log, the invalid executable append before everything. There is absolutely no message.

Is there a limite for the number of template or something like this ?

I did a few other test to understand the issue.

When I use a template that allready existed and edit it to match the template I wanted to use, everything is working well.
And from now, it’s not possible to create a new template. I tried every possible way, it’s allways doing the same error.

So I re ask if there is a limite somewhere, or a constraint with template ID or something.

    Best.

There are no limits to the number of templates that can muster handle.

    TemplateID must be unique.

I can advise you to duplicate an existing template, change the templateID and test new template before proceeding with custom changes.
