Frame assembler crashes dispatcher

I’m running Muster 5.21 dispatcher (on Windows Server 2003 SP2 on a Dual Xeon with 2G RAM). It rendered a 8000×2461 pixel iff-image from MayaMR-FS using frame slicing in 5 slices, but the assembling keeps crashing, taking the entire dispatcher service with it. Possibly some memory problem, but certainly not very nice.

Has anyone else seen this problem too? Has anyone found out what the maximum would seem to be?

The dispatcher should not crash but reports an “unavailable memory” error. I’m going to test a render with your exact size.
did you try with different sizes ?

    Regards.

Well, i didn’t test different sizes myself, but in the meanwhile, some other images using slices got finished from the queue, ranging up to 4000×2800 or even 4800×3600 pixels without any problem (but the iff files for the latter weren’t too big, as they contained a lot of ‘background’)

Then could you provide the exact data you put in the crashing job ?

The best thing would be a queue snapshot sent to vvsupport@vvertex.com

    Regards.
