I’ve noticed that the processor usage statistics in Muster Explorer only work if the user the service is running on the clients has admin rights.
Ram usage works on some host, on some it doesn’t. Where it doesn’t, even granting admin rights to the user doesn’t help.
How does Muster read the processor and ram usage? WMI? Perhaps there is a way to grant the according rights for accessing the cpu stats. As we are running an Active Directory, and sometimes a user needs to log in as renderuser, I wouldn’t like to grant this user adminrights.
We use the PdhLookupPerfNameByIndex windows system API, and the GlobalMemoryStatusEx() for the Ram usage.
I’m not aware of limits using the Pdh counters, maybe something in your domain policies ?
