Renderfarm clusters

    Hi,
    i’m about to develop the renderfarm cluster.
    i have 5 clusters with 1 Cluster head. i got admin head node connected to PMC & SMC.
    i have a file server.

    File server

    Cluster head Admin Head Node
    Cluster 1 PMC
    Cluster 2 smc
    .
    .
    .

    Now muster server installed in Cluster head communicates with clusters 1,2 for rendering jobs. File server has Maya installed.
    Do the file server and Cluster head and admin head node communicates through switch or how?
    What is the role of a admin head node in the network here?

    Do the clusters need to have IP for cluster head node to communicate to or the name of the clusters are enough?

    That isn’t so clear. Muster is designed to work with separate rendering nodes. What’s the purpose of a cluster ?
