Hi to all,

We would like to run a pool about the porting of dispatcher to unix machines.
It would be interesting to know who would prefer this solution....

Also, we have Muster for windows but i'm looking to do dowload the render client for linux. I will like to make some test. Is it available for download ?

The render client for linux is available in the installation folder under "Cross platform components"

Has there been any progress made on porting dispatcher to unix? I'd also be interested in this version.

Unofficial answer:

We are deeply inside the unix porting of the dispatcher service. We should have a beta version within 2 months, the new components has been rewritten from scratch and will affect the Windows component too that will have big changes.

This work is part of a complete Muster rewrite in pure c++ cross-platform code and will be included in the upcoming Muster 5 version.

Other improvements include in-proc/external database support, custom user management and template based job support.

hey,

whats the latest on the port? i'm setting up another renderfarm,
and it's going to be on linux, am i going to have to use another program? or is this still coming out soon?

Hi,
I'd like to know how the beta goes. We're installing Linux in all the machines and It would be nice to have the Muster Explorer in Linux.

Muster is in beta2 phase. We are completing the manual as well as some final tests. It will be out before the end of November.
