Have just started testing, but am having trouble with the Linux/Windows path translations.

The dispatcher is set up on Linux, render clients are Linux and the Muster explorers submitting the jobs are on Windows.

I have entered a Dispatcher path translation:

Local path: /mnt/flash
Windows path: \\flash\jobs
Linux path: /mnt/flash

When a job is submitted using the "\\flash\jobs" prefix, the logs on the Linux render clients are showing:
Error: File not found.:
Error: Cannot load scene "//Flash/Jobs/KnownUniverse_110609_MC/VFX/Assets/Maya/KU_203/scenes/KU_203_14/KU_203_14_s01/workshop/KU_203_14_s01_workshop_0005.ma". Please check the scene name.

So it appears the translation is not occurring.

Is there some config file on the Linux machines I can check for this?

Hi all

Can any one help me out I am using Muster 4.52. Got SUSE 10.1 installed on a render node with maya 7 for only maya s/w render. but when I send a job the render client goes into paused state. Noted dat I have dispatcher installed on WinXP machine and the jobe is send also through another WinXP workstation. there is no DC installed. Also can manage the client through Muster mangement console. All the paths are defined correctly. The file are on another Linux server with samba running. The remote directly is mounted with superuser permission. The maya path for the client is configured via Management consule to correct paths for maya 7.

Hello,
We use a Linux/WinXP64 mixed setup. The Dispatcher is on a Linux box, and the rendermachines run xp64. We would like to use the webserver frequently, so my render wrangler can work remotely. When configuring Paths I have:

Dispatcher side path:
/home/samba/RenderFarm

Windows path:
\\server\samba\RenderFarm

Linus path:
/home/samba/RenderFarm

Webserver path:
???

What should be used for the webserver path? The only reference to this in your manual is a picture that has C:\LocalWorks in that spot.

We're looking to change our render box's over to Linux and upgrade maya as well as muster but we first need to get this to work properly.

Linux Open Suse 10.2 with Maya 2008, Muster 5.3 Dispacther and client.
Windows 2000 muster Client 5.3
Windows 2003 Active directory domain.

I'm trying to get Muster 5.3 running with Open Suse 10.2 Linux and Windows 2003 active directory Domain. For the most part the linux box is able to connect to the Domain and make changes to the files on the server. I get the error from muster saying "exit code 211 differes from expected code 0" I looked that up in the log file and it basically says cannot find the file "//server/project/scenes/test.mb". If I use the file browser in linux I can easily get to the file and see that it's there. So this looks like this is more of a Linux question than a muster question. How do I connect to the server through the command line? Do I need to mount the share somehow? if so how do I do that? Are there any UNIX substitution paths I need to configure?
